ILEJ was a joint project by the Universities of Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, and Oxford, conducted under the auspices of the eLib (Electronic Libraries) Programme.  It digitized substantial runs of 18th and 19th century journals, including The Annual Register, Blackwood's Edinburgh Magazine, The Builder, Gentleman's Magazine, Notes and Queries, and Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society.  The project finished in 1999, and no additional material will be added.

The Inventories of American Painting and Sculpture at the Smithsonian Institution document more than 360,000 artworks in public and private collections worldwide.
