BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
Moses F. Knowlton operated a general store in Unity, New Hampshire, but seems to have lived in Wendell [now Sunapee].
SCOPE AND CONTENT
Records items purchased and sold by Knowlton, including food (raisins, tea, molasses, etc.), fabric (sheeting, shirting, etc.), dry goods (gloves, handkerchiefs, etc.), crockery, tools, and other items of a general store. Also included is a letter to Major Bartlett from Knowlton inviting Bartlett to join the Fourth of July celebration in 1839.
