BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT

Edward Pusey attended Prospect Hill Boarding School, the location of which is unknown.  He was the son of Jacob Pusey, who was listed as a cotton manufacturer in the 1853 Wilmington directory.  The school was likely in southeastern Pennsylvania as many of the students were from that area, as well as Baltimore, Maryland, and Wilmington, Delaware.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

Contains "a list of names and places of residence of the students of Prospect Hill B.S. during the summer of 1845" and during the winters of 1845/46 and 1846/47.  The inscription "Edward Pusey, care of Jacob Pusey, Wilmington, Del." appears on the last leaf.  Entries are written in the hands of Pusey's classmates; all of them also give their home addresses.  A few feature brief sayings or remembrances.
