SCOPE AND CONTENT
Records debits and credits accrued by Samuel Garrett for such activities as tanning, currying, boot and shoe making, and other leatherwork. A variety of skins and hides are mentioned. Also noted are food, whiskey, nails, and other items purchased from a local store. Most of the accounts feature notes about settlement signed by Garrett and the other party. Several bills and receipts are laid in (some are pinned to pages). The volume offers a fairly extensive record of trade in a small community.
