BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
Mary Cresson resided in
SCOPE AND CONTENT
Records Mary Cresson's household expenses in sporadic entries from 1832 to 1862. The majority of the receipts pertain to payments she made for work done on her house, including fixing the entry and stairs, making carpeting, hanging blinds, painting, carpentry work, mason's work, papering, building a bath house, tin work, and putting on a new roof. Others show that Cresson purchased milk and cream, cords of wood, and the Philadelphia Gazette on a regular basis. A bill for medical services is pinned in the volume.
