BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT

Alfred Bullard, Inc. was an antiques store on Pine Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  It was established first in Wales around 1920 and then moved to London around 1925.  The Philadelphia store was opened before 1944. Around 1965, the London store was closed and only the Philadelphia store remained.  The store specialized in fine 18th and early 19th century English furniture, mirrors, and accessories.  The second president of the company was William Bertolet, who had worked with Alfred Bullard (1862-1954).   Mr. Bertolet closed the shop in 2014, but continued as a consultant in the trade.
