BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
Paul
Richardson was the organist for the home games of the Philadelphia Phillies
baseball team from 1970-2005. Between
1978 and 1982, he also sometimes played the organ for home games of the New
York Yankees. He died in Wilmington,
Delaware, in October 2006. He was a
graduate of Wilmington High School. He
was the son of Hannah Kehnast and Ralph Richardson.
SCOPE AND CONTENT
A collection of popular sheet music, with illustrated
covers. Many of the pieces were from movies or stage
productions. All were copyrighted in
1931 or earlier, although some were printed later. Songs include “Give My Regards to Broadway,”
“I’m Nobody’s Baby,” “Indian Love Call,” “Kitten on the Keys,” and others. Many of the pieces originally belonged to
Ralph Richardson, the father of the Phillies organist Paul Richardson.
