SCOPE AND CONTENT
This
is an artificial and still open collection of maps. Most of the maps with the oldest dates are
actually 20th century reprints of earlier maps.
The collection includes some hand-drawn maps as well as printed
ones. Some maps are flat, while others
are folded into booklets. The maps are
arranged by size and then alphabetically by direct name of place (thus, Albany,
New York, is under A). Most of the maps
are of cities in the United States (chiefly in eastern states) or in
England. However, there are maps of states,
regions, the Caribbean, Paris, Jerusalem, Canada, Bermuda, and other areas.
ORGANIZATION
The
maps are arranged by size and then alphabetically by direct name of place
(thus, Albany, New York, is under A).
LANGUAGE OF MATERIALS
The
materials are in English.
