BIOGRAPHICAL
STATEMENT
Joanna Rowntree, also known as Joanna Green, was an
art conservator specializing in sculptures.
She received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and art history from the
SCOPE AND
CONTENT
The bulk of the collection are student notebooks and
treatment reports prepared while Joanna Rowntree was a student in the WUDPAC
program or while she worked for Johnson Atelier, as well as a few other
treatment reports and some papers about internships. The treatment reports are accompanied by
photographs of the works being treated.
As well, there are slides from a presentation she did while a WUDPAC
student. The student notebooks deal with
metal objects, organic objects, and wood.
There are also some articles on various conservation subjects.
