BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT

 

Captain Nathaniel Lord owned a mansion in Kennebunkport, Maine, during the first half of the nineteenth century.  He died ca. 1820.  Daniel Lord was apparently the executor of his estate.

 

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

 

This collection contains bills accrued by Captain Nathaniel Lord and Daniel Lord between 1805-1844.  The majority were for repairs made to a mansion in Kennebunkport, Maine.  Items and services noted include lumber, shingles, white lead, clapboards, nails, screws, putty, glass, rosin, fish oil, linseed oil, spikes, and painting.  One bill is for tablespoons.
