George Glentworth was a
pharmacist in
SCOPE AND CONTENT
These bills, receipts, and photos, including two glass plate negatives, relate to the construction of a house and store located on the northeast corner of Chester and Race Streets in Philadelphia, erected by George Glentworth in 1812 and 1813. Many bills are for such goods and services as hardware, lumber, digging the cellar, bricklaying, window glass, marble window sills, doors, plastering, and painting. Photos are reprints of 19th century images depicting the exterior of the building.
