BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT

 

Aaron Wait owned a house in or near Salem, Massachusetts, in the 1820s.  He apparently moved there circa 1827.

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

 

This collection of bills documents purchases of household goods and services by Aaron Wait between 1824-1829.  Household repairs include painting the interior, exterior, and trim, wallpapering, and chimney and stove repair.  Among the items purchased are hardware, hand tools, household furnishings, a mahogany coffin, blankets, carpet, and pharmaceutical and beauty supplies.
