SCOPE AND CONTENT
This
artificial and still open collection consists primarily of scale drawings and
paintings of furniture and decorative objects.
In addition, several items depict such vehicles as locomotives, fire
engines, carriages, and boats. Media
used include watercolors, pen and ink, pencil, and chalk. The bulk of the collection dates from the
second half of the 19th century with a number from the late 18th and early 19th
centuries. Artists are identified on
some of the drawings.
ORGANIZATION
The
items are divided by size and then arranged in accession number order.
LANGUAGE OF MATERIALS
The
materials are primarily visual, but captions are mostly in English, with some
in German.
