SCOPE AND CONTENT

 

The media found in this collection includes vinyl records, reel-to-reel tapes, cassette tapes, compact disks, videotapes, and one 16 mm film.  Also found are printed materials, such as song books, which accompany these items.   The records, many of the tapes, and most of the compact disks are recordings of Shaker songs and hymns.  The videotapes are about the Shakers and their communities.  Also found are taped interviews with Faith Andrews, with transcripts of these interviews.
